Today Is a Gift from God

📖 “This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 ESV

Reflection

Today is a gift from God.

It can be easy to wake up already thinking about everything that needs to happen this week. Responsibilities, decisions, deadlines, and unfinished things can quickly fill our minds.

But before we rush ahead, Psalm 118 reminds us to recognize what God has already given us: this day.

Rejoicing doesn’t mean everything in life is perfect. It means we recognize that God is good and present even when life isn’t. There is grace for today, purpose in today, and an opportunity to worship God with the life He has given us today.

Don’t let tomorrow’s concerns steal today’s gratitude.

What is something God has given you today that you can pause and thank Him for?

Prayer

Father, thank You for the gift of another day. Help me not to rush past Your goodness because I’m focused on everything ahead. Give me a grateful heart, help me rejoice in You, and teach me to faithfully use the day You have given me. In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏
