📖 “Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 ESV
Reflection
We spend a lot of time trying to figure things out.
We plan, worry, replay conversations, think through every possible outcome, and sometimes convince ourselves that everything depends on us. But God gives us a much simpler invitation: be still and remember who He is.
Being still doesn’t mean ignoring our responsibilities. It means refusing to let our circumstances become bigger in our minds than our God.
Whatever is waiting for you today, God is already there. You don’t have to have every answer. You don’t have to control every outcome. You can faithfully take the next step while trusting the One who sees the whole picture.
Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is stop striving long enough to remember: He is God, and we are in His hands.
Reflection Question
What do you need to stop trying to control and trust God with today?
Prayer
Father, quiet my heart today. When I’m tempted to worry, strive, or try to control every outcome, remind me that You are God. Help me trust Your wisdom, rest in Your presence, and faithfully follow You through whatever today brings. In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏
